We have an opening for a mechanically minded person to join our company as an assistant to the mechanic. Some of the duties carried out by this role include;
- Washing & preparing of equipment prior to repair
- Cleaning of workshop, yard & other areas as instructed
- Picking, unpacking parts for repair, and packing parts for despatch
- Assisting head mechanic in carrying our repairs
- Other tasks involved in daily running of a workshop
Depending on your ability & work experiences, this role could allow you to exercise wider range of skills;
- Grinding and preparing steel parts for welding
- Forklift driving
- General driving
We are a compact and highly efficient workshop servicing the Sydney earthmoving industry. As a result, good communication in the workshop is vital ? for not only understanding the task at hand but also for safety. So, please do not apply if you do not have a very good grasp of English.
