Hat World Australia are seeking an outstanding Designer to join a fast-growing company. This newly created position will contribute and support the delivery of Hat World Australia’s seasonal collections alongside the Product Development Team.
This person will help to create innovative designs for product line (headwear). Under the supervision of the Director of Product Development , the Designer, helps with creative ideas and production design.Job responsibilities (including, but not limited to the following):
*Propose designs and collaborates with the Director of Product Development for all product categories
*Researches trends and maintains constant inspirations for all
categories
*Market research on different market and region
Absorbs overflow work from the Director of Product Development
*Travel to factories, trade shows and other events as needed to achieve desired design goals.
Skills:
Great sketch abilities
A quick learner
Proficiency in Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop
Highly motivated, organized, and able to work in a fast-paced
environment
Very detail oriented
Ability to work individually and with a group
Works well with deadlines Additional
REQUIREMENT:
College degree in fashion design or experience equivalent to preferred
Minimum 3-10 years Apparel or Headwear design experience in a related field
Technical understanding of garment construction and fabrications
Decorated apparel experience strongly preferred
Strong technical design ability
Job Location: Sydney,Australia
BENEFITS:
$40k-$60K + super
