We are in the centre of Sydney and provide Korean and Japanese fusion cousins. We are currently looking for highly motivated and proactive Qualified Chefs and Cooks to join our team on a salaried or casual basis.
About the Position
As a Qualified Chef or cook, you will be responsible for, serving meals, create new menus. You will be responsible for the quality production of all meals and food services to customers as well as ensuring that the kitchen and service.
Responsibilities:
The successful applicant will be confident in their skills, motivated to perform and will need to demonstrate:
· Strong knowledge of Korean & Japanese cooking techniques
· Uncompromising attitude towards high food quality, presentation and safety
· Strong communication skills and grace under pressure, and
· Excellent planning skills and the ability to think on your feet
· Maintain the quality of food;
· Order or buy vegetable or meats other ingredients for cook;
· Obtain feedback from the customers regarding food if necessary;
· Improve taste & quality of food if necessary, based upon the customers’ feedback;
· Control the staff;
· Organise all food procedures;
· Have at least 3 years of experience as a Cook or Chef
· Have Australian work rights
You should have at least 3 years of work experience in a similar position and Certification IV in Commercial Cookery and Diploma in Hospitality or above in Hospitality Management. Korean is essential because most of our clients are Korean speaking background.
Salary: $55,000.00--$65,000.00 (Salary will be determined depending on candidate’s skills and work experience.
