Marketing Officer (International Education)
Package $45,000 - $60,000 plus superannuation
Our organisation is a well-established higher education provider of educational services and products to the International Education sector with students from over 65 countries.
We are seeking a marketing officer with experience in cross-cultural relationships. This position requires regular contact in Southeast Asia, particularly in the Philippines, South Korea and Japan in order to build and maintain effective working relationships with international education agents, students, parents and other relevant parties. You will be competing against many other organisations to attract quality students so the relationships you build with agents will be crucial. Your international travel experience with exposure to business and academic-related organisations in different cultures will be highly valuable.
Your duties include:
Liaise with agents including the Philippines, South Korea, and Japanese agents;
Assist clients with documentation processes;
Attend to queries from clients and agents;
Deal with complaints from agents and clients;
Find new agents including the Philippines, South Korea, and Japanese agents ;
Reply to and distribute e-mails and marketing correspondence ;
Responsibility for the maintenance of the marketing information and competitor's activities;
Responsibility for keeping all the agent's agreement records for local and international markets;
To check the performance of current agents both on-shore and off-shore;
Update the agent files;
Ensure that all the promotional marketing materials are available for re-development;
Monitor and organise the replenishment of all the printed marketing material stocks
Assist in preparing monthly marketing report for team evaluation;
Assist in developing new marketing strategies and marketing plans in the short run and long run;
Assist in developing new marketing areas overseas.
Other duties include
Duties as directed by Marketing Manager and Senior Marketing Officer, such as organising and presenting seminars to agents and students at trade fairs, exhibitions and in schools.
Supervise and assist the housing of students.
The successful candidate will have:
? Relevant experience in international student recruitment in higher education fields or related fields
? Fluent in English and Tagalog or Korean
? Understanding of cross-cultural sensitivities with experience in dealing with students and travelling abroad

If you have good people skills, marketing experience and enjoy travelling to overseas locations then this might be the role for you. Experience in student recruitment or international education services would be beneficial but is not essential.
