The role:
We seek an experienced and skilled Software Engineer to take responsibility for our system integrations and maintain our JEE services. Essential for this position is a strong background in Java development and previous experience with Spring frameworks.
The main responsibilities will include:
- Integrating diverse subsystems, networks and servers that are compatible with the overall system
- Troubleshooting and debugging systems issues to increase performance and the quality of data being produced
- Utilise JEE services to:
- Simplify app development and programming
- Develop and maintain the web application based on Spring framework
- Develop and run multi-tiered, reliable and secure network applications
The successful candidate will have:
- 4+ years of Java development experience
- Previous experience with Spring frameworks
- Previous experience in a similar position at a higher education provider
- Fluent with Relational Databases and ORM/SQL-Mappers
- Proficient in HTTP protocols and integrating APIs
- Familiarity with reading and writing Front-end Javascript (ES5)
- Domain knowledge of OOP Designing and Dependency Injection
- Experience with Maven or Gradle, MyBatis, Git
- Experience in developing JS ES2015 (or above), JQuery/Bootstrap/CSS
- Proficient in handling NodeJS, Python Processes and Bash-Shell scripts
- Strong teamwork skills
- Strong interpersonal communication skill
