Dr Frank Hsieh (www.drfrank.com.au) is a Specialist Plastic Surgeon, covering reconstructive and cosmetic surgeries. He received his medical degree from Cambridge University (UK). As a medical student, he was attracted to the art and science of plastic surgery and participated in breast reconstruction research. This has culminated in many international lectures, scientific papers and multiple best PRS research awards. Dr. Hsieh completed his plastic surgery training in Sydney and was awarded FRACS (Plast) by the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons. He then received the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Scholarship to undertake a one-year fellowship in Reconstructive Microsurgery with Professor Fu-Chan Wei at world-renowned Chang-Gung Memorial Hospital in Taiwan.
He is currently a VMO in Liverpool, Bankstown Hospitals and multiple private hospitals. He specialises in microvascular Head & Neck reconstruction, Breast reconstruction, Lymphedema Surgery and General/Asian Aesthetic surgery.

[Medical Secretary]

Duties within the role will include

-Meet and greet all patients in a busy clinic environment
-Accurately manage patient bookings and records
-Liaise with public and private hospitals, and other third parties to organise surgeries including paperwork prep
-Manage patient billings and invoicing processes including Medicare and insurance claims
-Prepare and run patient clinic days and ad-hoc administrative duties
-Care patients through follow-up calls and messages

Skills & Experience:

-Work experience in an administration role is essential
-Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the capacity to communicate effectively with doctors, staff, patients, other health care professionals and third parties
-Ability to work well independently and as well as part of a team
-Friendly and caring attitude with outstanding interpersonal skills
-A high level of personal integrity, honesty and trustworthiness
-Knowledge of medical software and systems is desirable
-Previous experience at a private surgery and understanding of medical administrative procedures is desirable

[Registered Nurse]

Duties within the role will include

-Assisting doctors in a range of surgical procedures
-Preparing the patient for surgery
-Looking after the patient in recovery through follow-up calls and messages
-Setting up and cleaning of the theatre
-Autoclaving instruments
-Medication entries
-Cleaning and autoclaving instruments
-Medical supply inventory and order in

Skills & Experience:

-Registered Nurse AHPRA registration
-Previous experience in a plastic/cosmetic surgery preferred but not essential
-A high level of personal integrity, honesty and trustworthiness
-Passionate about the industry
