About the business
The Korea Tourism Organization (KTO) is the South Korean government agency responsible for attracting international visitors to South Korea both for leisure and business travellers.
The KTO Sydney Office is in charge of promoting Korea tourism in Australia and New Zealand.
The KTO Sydney Office’s major activities are:
-Provide information and assistance on traveling to Korea
-Enhance the image of Korea tourism through advertisement, media, SNS channels, etc.
-Participate in major consumer travel fairs, events, etc. and promote travel to Korea
-Work with tour operators/travel agents/OTAs and airlines to develop and promote Korea tourism products
-Work with local media to publish and broadcast stories or programs introducing Korea tourism
-Organize familiarisation visits to Korea for local media and travel trade
-Participate in B2B events/exhibitions to promote travel to Korea
About the role :
-Implement and support marketing activities in Korea tourism & MICE
-General assistance for consumer & travel trade’s enquiries regarding Korea tourism
-Managing social media and other public relations
-Planning and producing E-newsletters that deliver information on KTO activities and Korea tourism
-Giving an effective presentation in industry seminars
-Compilations of tourism related reports and statistics
-Tourism market research & ad hoc duties
-Such other instructions given in connection with promotional activities for Korea tourism
Qualifications, Skills and Experience
-Have relevant tertiary qualification in tourism/ marketing /MICE OR demonstrated solid experience in managing marketing and tourism
-1~2 years+ working experience in tourism or marketing industry (preferred)
-Excellent written and verbal communication skills including presentation
-Working understanding of Mail Chimp as well as being proficient in all Microsoft packages
-Able to manage competing priorities on a daily basis
-Able to work quickly and efficiently to complete tasks in a timely manner
-Able to travel internationally or interstate where required
-Australian Resident
-Fluent in English and Korean
